Campfire Stories

Anyone can put out an aesthetic picture of their product or wear a cute curated fit for their shoot, but what about the lore?

The key component to building a fan base or community is by building a world they can be a part of. Take your community on an adventure, one that they will be able to connect to and feel so seen by. Leave easter eggs. My favorite director, Tim Burton, is the BEST at this, bringing in little clues from one movie to another to remind us all that his characters live in the same universe… and for that 77 minutes, we are in that universe too.

You Give Me Goosebumps

This Collection was designed with the inspiration of 90s horror films like Scream and Goosebumps.

We wanted this to be campy, playful, exciting.

We cast 2 girlypops and gave them a 90s grunge look to set the decade.

Our producer and filmmaker was able to score an amazing 1950s halloween mask, and our monster was played by one of my friends from the Spooky community.

Every detail is intentional— That’s what’s important to us.

Love Potion 999

This video was for a sweatshirt that had a midcentury type graphic of a witchy woman who was in the business of love spells.

In our video, we followed a day in her life. Using the same color palettes as the design, we created her world. And, as always, snuck in some cherries as an ode to the brand, “Cosmic Cherry.”

Our easter egg was that the girls on the screen were a nod to me and my real life girlfriend, and the footage was taken from our Las Vegas shoot from a previous collection.

Cosmic Cherry

This was the video that I creative directed, brought together by filmmaker and producer Jessica of Goldie Swan Productions, for the announcement of my brand. The name Cosmic Cherry came about while brainstorming with my girlfriend— What is something that the decades have in common? CHERRIES!

So, with our vintage flair, we decided to do drinks through the decades. Simple, sweet, and straight to the point.

Bet On Yourself

This shoot was for a 2 shirt collection. The inspiration for this shoot was a text from my big brother in a hard time saying, “If I was going to bet on anyone, it would be you.” These words of encouragement, plus a nod to his love of gambling, and the line was born.

I hired the best team and we had SO much fun with the details. From the vintage car we rented, to the wedding cake, shooting on freemont street, bringing our own dice for the car…we didn’t miss a beat.

I chose becky as our model for so many reasons, but one detail I was so excited for was our barbie in the wedding cake. I wanted it to be DISTINCT, and her split dye was perfect for the vibe.

Cosmic Cherry Presents…

This video was one of my favorites of all time to put together. The collection we were shooting for was compiled of 4 classic horror films: Creature from the Black Lagoon, Psycho, Vertigo, and The Bride of Frankenstein.

We had the best time recreating some of our favorite clips from these films! I think we as humans enjoy seeing something we already know and love referenced in modern times. For ex. Ariana Grande’s music video “Thank u, next…” I watched that a MILLION times! I loved seeing the references to some of my all time favorite movies. It felt like I was part of an inside joke, I felt so included and inspired!
